This creamy salmon with fresh dill is moist and so refreshing. The dill and lemon seasoning brought it to perfection. My husband does a lot of fishing so I am always on the look out for good fish recipes. I was invited by my friend Natasha to one of the meetings provided by “The Cradle” House of Bread Women’s Ministry. They offer monthly meetings with expecting moms and moms with little ones. Each meeting has different topic. They are awesome. May God continue to bless them in their hard work. One of the meetings was about COOKING!!! So this fish recipe was prepared and cooked at that class. It was so good that I had to share it with you. So simple yet very flavorful and delicious.
Ingredients:
2 lb salmon fillet, skin on
Salt and pepper
6oz cream cheese- room temperature
1/2 lemon
1 Tbsp. fresh dill
Direction:
Preheat the oven to 425F. Sprinkle the fish with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, chopped dill and squeezed half lemon juice.
Arrange salmon filet, skin side down, in a single layer on the prepared baking pan.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the fish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the salmon is easily flaked with a fork. Serve with rice and vegetables.

Wow! This salmon looks amazing! I have been looking for a great ‘baked salmon recipe’ and it looks like I found it, thanks!
Hi, when you gave me your site i decided to check it out. I really like your recipes. Very tasty and creative, nice job. thank you so much for sharing!
Do you think I could use mascarpone instead of cream cheese? I have some mascarpone left over from another meal. Thanks
yes, defiantly. would be more creamier. 🙂
This is so good, made it a few times now. It’s tied for first place for our favorite salmon recipe (along with honey lime cilantro salmon from Julia’s album)! I don’t always have fresh dill so sometimes I use 1 tsp dried, it’s amazing!
OH MY GOD!!! This was amazing!!! I had to switch out the cream cheese for plain lactose free yogurt and it was still delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe
Thank you. I am glad you could adjust according to your needs.
I would love to make this later in the week. I normally cook my salmon for about 12 minutes at 400 degrees. Is this cooked longer because of the topping? I just don’t want to overcook a 2-lb piece of salmon!!! Thanks so much!
Hi Andrea,
yes, the topping is thick and creamy so it takes longer time.
thank you
Made this but used Mayonnaise instead of cream cheese. With left over salmon used cream cheese and mixed cold salmon next day to make a salmon dip. Yummy!
Loved this recipe! Also added about a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest. Only thing I changed and this is from experience having a freezer full of Alaskan red salmon, I only cook my fish for twenty minutes max. Any longer and you’ve some dry, dry, dry salmon
Hi Jessica,
I am glad you love it.
Enjoy!
